Can my chip be repaired?
As a rule, yes if it is smaller than about 3 cm and not in the driver's line of sight. Too close to the edge or already cracked, the windscreen has to be replaced. Send a photo taken from about one metre: we reply within the hour in business hours.
Why not wait?
Cold, heat from the demister and vibration make a chip grow. Once it has cracked, only a replacement helps. The technical inspection (contrôle technique) does not accept damage in the driver's line of sight: get it repaired first.
How does the repair work?
- We clean the chip and remove air and moisture.
- We inject resin under pressure.
- The resin is cured and the surface polished.
Your original windscreen stays in place: no new adhesive, no camera recalibration.
At your door or at the workshop?
